TALK#1: Prof. Gregory Wheeler THE FRANKFURT SCHOOL’S AI INITIATIVE
Gregory Wheeler is a Professor of Philosophy and Computer Science. This person has an interesting view on data science and technology in general. Currently Gregory is leading Centre for Human and Machine Intelligence. A host of coming soon AI Summit.
And he will tell us about The Frankfurt School’s new initiative: opening of Centre for Human and Machine Intelligence and launching of a new Master’s in Applied Data Science program these are the two central pillars of the school’s AI initiative, and part of broader effort to contribute to building the Frankfurt area ecosystem in machine learning and data science. This talk will briefly introduce these two initiatives and provide an overview of how we see our initiative fitting into the dynamic and growing Frankfurt Data Science community.
TALK#2: Dr. Gunjan Bhardwaj THE STORY OF DISRUPTING AI-DRIVEN TEAM
A talk for inspiration and a guidance for disruption traditional way of doing business. You look for motivation and curiosity? Gunjan Bhardwaj Founder and CEO of Innoplexus is the right person to spark your interest or continue to be afire with your data passion. He is Innovation himself and a lifelong researcher in life sciences and healthcare industries. In 2011 he founded a company specialising in AI decision-making, a group of geeks and strategists were and are bringing together two worlds: AI and industry to solve the today’s toughest problems.
TALK #3: Fabian Pitter Steinmetz DESIGNING DRUGS WITH MACHINE LEARNING
The time for data science hardcore stuff. Fabian Pitter Steinmetz, this guy is just cool, he is a data scientist working at Merck, a toxicologist with a focus on structure-activity relationships with experience in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry. He is scientist-boy-scout in vitro and silicon methodologies. A what a hell is that? His talk is will explain that, it is about current and future practice of machine learning in regard to drug discovery. He will set the scene by describing the tools his team developed and how medicinal chemists use them on a daily base to design drugs. He will talk about complex tools which are currently under development. “Designing drugs” – data scientists can be designers too, imagine Karl Lagerfeld in the world of data science.
TALK #4: Nurlan Duishoev MACHINE LEARNING IN CLINICAL TRIALS
Nurlan Duishoev, this guy is just a bomb in the world of data science, one of the best data scientists in Frankfurt, the winner of $40K prize taking 1st place at one of the Kaggle’s competitions. He is absolute speaker-champion and long-time resident of our Meetup, this will be his third talk. He is part of Machine Learning Data Science team at IQVIA, a human data science company, one of the top companies in health information technologies and clinical research. You don’t need to read talk’s description, just skip it and come, because he will drive you into analytics ecstasies, guaranteed, you can cut my finger if not. Ok anyway: he will talk about clinical trials and optimising them using machine learning, Deep Learning, NLP and Big Data.
